Difficulties

  • 1st Many Provinces are “old” with few young Friars and they find it evermore difficult to fulfil responsibilities already taken on.
  • 2nd Many will think that the Order should give priority to the already existing missions before taking on others.
  • 3rd New juridical structures will have to be created. We should ask the jurists to invent answers for the new problems.
  • 4th It is easier to live with the Friars of one’s own Province than to live in inter-provincial and international groups.
  • 5th The guarantee that they will send personnel and means, even if it is not a matter of “their mission”, must be obtained from the Provinces.
